Enlisted
My country doesn't think we need,
Those who fought battles and won
A peacekeeping nation.
Yet they cry for action
When things go wrong,
Their faces filled with fear and indignation
They demand
Something be done.
"Don't they know we are in danger?"
They plea to a military
viewed as useless,
A military,
They forbid their sons and daughters to
Enlist.

I'm speechless, Jenna. I had no idea that you wrote poetry (I know you've told me, but I've never seen the "proof".) I honestly can't say which one I liked the best, but I can say that I am impressed. (even rhymes!)

Thank you! I did this in grade 11, and loved the class. I haven't had much time to write since then, but I'm trying. A certian person has help inspire me, and so I'll post some more recent ones sometime when I get the copy becasue I forgot to make one. :P

I am glad you are writing poetry again. I really like these two as you know my feeling on the subject. Great job!!!
